To get a realistic picture on the status of higher education in India, the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) has undertaken an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. Data are collected from all institutions involved in imparting higher education across the country. These include information related to teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, educational finance, infrastructure, pupil-teacher ratio, gender parity index, per-student expenditure, institutional diversity, and Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER).

This Cell caters to the need for such data requirements of the Government and helps in institutional policy decision-making.

Functions

• To prepare comprehensive databases for the University.
• To coordinate in the compilation of statistical data from time to time as required by the Government.
