ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Psychology (with pass subject) was established in 1971. The facility for Honors in Psychology was created in the year 1980. Due to heavy demands from the learning community of Southern Odisha, P.G. in Applied Psychology was started in the session 2010-11.

Mission of the Department:

The Mission of the department is to empower young women to face the challenges of life with courage and commitment,to be builders of a human and just society, and to promote a learning community in which all, especially those from less privileged backgrounds, feel part of the collaborative high quality educational process which is value based and leads to holistic growth.

Vision of the Department:

  • 1. To introduce M.Phil in Applied Psychology

  • 2. To introduce P.G Diploma in Guidance & Counselling
