About Department of Sanskrit is an apex center of Sanskrit studies in South Odisha and is one of the oldest departments of the S.B.R.Govt. Women’s College. The department was started in the year 1958 and imparted teaching at Intermediate level. It became an under-graduate department with Pass courses in 1960 and Honors in 1987. Now the department offers POST GRADUATION in Sanskrit from 28.10.2022 Though this department had a humble beginning it now caters to the need of 96 students. The department right from the beginning maintained record of academic excellence. The department is in expansion mode and dreams of a bright future.
