DEPARTMENT PROFILE
- The department of Chemistry started as a part of the college in the year 1961 with the opening of Intermediate Science course. Later it groomed to B.Sc (General) in 1981 and to B.Sc. (Honours) in 1992.Department of Chemistry is an integral part of S.B.R. Government Women’s College, a more than a half-century old premier institution of southern Odisha.
- Though not very old, this department flourished within a short period and now is considered to be one of the leading departments of this college with excellent academic achievements and developing infrastructural facilities.
- The department of Chemistry creates a stimulating environment for the academic growth of its students. The faculty members are known for their expertise in the subject and they impact their students not just by their practical knowledge on the subjects but also through regular talks, paper and computer presentations and field trips.
